"Best" depends on a what you want to do.

Whatever it is, start simple. The easiest, cheapest, and generally best bang for the buck for non-serious racers is to just upgrade the brake pads to the Porterfield's. If you are going to be tracking the car where heat from repeated hard stops is going to be an issue, you can upgrade the rotors and the calipers.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Best Brakes Recommendation

I know you've all chimed in on this subject, and I apologize for not paying enough attention earlier (I can't keep up with the list serve - anyone else have this problem?)

I'm looking to upgrade my brakes. It would great to get the Group 5 brakes at www.pim.net but don't want to shell out the $4k. Any recommendations on best brakes for the $?

Thanks,
