There is a letter in the latest Cat Scratches column about Spencer's passing. 
  He and Denise were stalwart figures at the Las Vegas Fun Rally every year, 
and his car was simply spectacular.   He succumbed to ALS, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's 
disease. :<(
