[DeTomaso] Tires, Tire Life, and Nitrogen

I think air is about 80% nitrogen, so if oxygen does gradually leak, and you top off the tires with air, the result would tend to converge towards a greater % nitrogen, I'm not sure about water molecule size.

For as long as I can remember, people talked about measuring tire pressure when the tire is cold, so there may be some measurable pressure stabilization advantage to a nitrogen fill, even on the street. You could measure tire pressure cold and after some driving. If there is a big difference (maybe 3 or 4+ PSI?), nitrogen might reduce it. Pretty easy test. I think it's free at Costco.
