[DeTomaso] Alignment help

I lowered my car a bit and my front wheels are now wonky.  I am willing to 
attempt the string and measure alignment process to get it in the ballpark.  
How do I actually adjust the toe?  Do I have to jack up the car and pop out 
the tierod ends and turn the ends in/out?  How many turns equals a degree of 
toe change?  Looks like I will have to jack the car up and down multiple 
times?
