Your engine temp would be determined by the electric fan switch when the car is not moving or moving very slowly.

My engine gets too hot in traffic.  I have a Robertshaw/Flowcooler ready to install and I am wondering how much it might be able to drop my temp,  assuming both are 180 degree units?
