Sounds like a good idea Ken. I was thinking about filling the area to make it flat. I remember seeing a car done this way in an issue of PI?

  Art,

I want to do the same thing with the fake vents. I think what we need is a grill with the same fins as the aluminum casting, but open on the back, a clear scoop over the fins to form an air scoop, and a backing that flairs into maybe a 3 inch round passage into the engine compartment. I think we can avoid altering the look which in my opinion can not be improved on, and get much needed ambient air to the engine.

  Ken

I hate fake stuff myself, well, except for breasts, but I digress.
I'll take this a step further yet. The cars came with a fake dress up item,
that is the triangular part next to the quarter windows, made to look like
vents. It's not that they aren't attractive, it's just that they are not
functional. Some day I may modify the car to eliminate those damn things.
I love the fact that it is acceptable to modify the Pantera and we all get
to make them just the way we want. It's almost like having a custom made
    automobile!
