Terry,
I am guessing, but here is what I would try:
At _http://www.panteraplace.com/Page187.htm_
(http://www.panteraplace.com/Page187.htm) you will see pictures of the door openings and the window lift
mechanism. The key will be unbolting the glass from the lift mechanism. If you
can't access the bolts which clamp the glass to the lift with the window full
up, unbolt and drop the lift mechanism (be careful, the window cum lift
mechanism is heavy) until you can get at the clamp bolts. Then raise the glass and
duct tape it in the up position. You can then remove the lift mechanism as
shown in the article.
That's what I would do.
Not to worry, you will find a method.
Have fun,
SOBill Taylor

Any suggestions on how to proceed if the plastic gear fails in the window
full up position? I tried the emergency tool, but the window will not budge.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Terry
