Clay,
I have done my doors, only I covered the entire door inner panel with an
insulation that is easily available.
About 1/8th inch thick, a black sticky material on one side, covered with a
peel-off protectant, and a metallic surface on the other side.
It worked great, the window motors are very quiet as I wrapped them also in
the soundproofing material. It worked so well that I have now done the tunnel
and firewall.
I found it to be well worth the money, it make a big difference.
I would say that the car now, in terms of sound and vibration, is very
civilized.
The engine sound, thankfully, is still there.
With your tunnel cover off take a careful look inside the gear shift lever
opening in your tunnel for small openings that let noise and heat into the
passenger compartment. Cover those as well.
Great stuff, fun to use and it really works.
All the best,
Dick Ruzzin
