  Run to your local hardware store and pick up a few feet of clear hose (3/4" or 1"), remove 
  your filler neck, and use the hose to siphon (vacuum) crud from the bottom of your tank into 
  a bucket to be properly disposed of.  You may also need a 3/8" wooden dowel to zip tie the 
  hose to and make it rigid so you can better control where you direct the end on the bottom 
  of the tank.
   
  When finished, you'll have peace of mind that you got it all or most of the crud sitting at the 
  bottom of your tank.
