[DeTomaso] Speedometer/odometer errors

Or, switch to Autometer gauges where, with the simple push of a button, the
exact speed will be registered regardless of the tire size or gear ratios.
I even had a police friend of mine sit alongside the road with his radar gun
and check my speed after the switch. It was dead on! Now every time we do
a caravan the other guys are hanging back because they think they are
speeding and I'm merrily going on down the road secure in the knowledge that
my speedo is correct.

Just my .02 and a humble suggestion.

Mike,

You will find a cool calculator which computes compares tire diameters and
speedo errors at various speeds when you change tire sizes.

At _http://www.panteraplace.com/page32.htm_
(http://www.panteraplace.com/page32.htm) you will find a downloadable
calculator which does it all at every
rpm for every tire size and gear.

Have fun,
