Guys:

I sent this before, but neglected to change the subject to reflect the
availability of a manual on automotive heating and AC. So here it is
again...

Fellow AC Beginners, Fellow Automotive AC Related Information Aficionados,
and Fellow Pantera Gearheads:

Here is a direct download link to a digital copy of the 2001 Haynes
Automotive Tech Manual on Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Systems.

http://rapidshare.com/files/56480384/HT-_Automotive_Heating_and_Air_Conditioning_Systems.pdf Double click on the above link, and then click on the "Save as" option, orwhatever your particular computer offers you as choices. This is anuncompressed PDF file, with no security, or passwords, or any other kind ofbarrier to downloading and reading by the computer challenged. Another downloading option is to use your Windows Run application. To dothis, first highlight the above link, then click on "Edit" (in the menu barat the top of the window), then click on "Copy". Next go to the WindowsStart button, and click once on it (bottom left corner of the screen), thenclick on "Run". You'll see the text box where you now paste the link into.To paste the link (that you just copied), hold the Ctrl key down, and thentap the "V" key (for insert) (if the paste operation doesn't work, make surethat there is a blinking cursor in that text box. You can make that happen,by simply clicking your cursor in that text box. Now try the Ctrl-V keystroke combo again, and proceed). That will paste the link into the Run'stext box. Then click on "Okay", and follow the prompts, questions, orwhatever, until you download the file to your local harddrive. If you still don't have any success, please email me, and we'll figure outsomething.... one way or the other... To view this manual, you must have a reasonably current copy of AdobeAcrobat Reader. Probably version 5 is the oldest that will work well. SinceAcrobat Reader is now at version 8, I'm pretty sure that most everyone'sgoing to have a working copy. And again, if anyone has problems, email me,and I'll help you out.
