[DeTomaso] Anyone cooked their mufflers?

Those hi-temp header paints need rather high temps to fully cure the coating. 
Not heat-curing it will sometimes cause it to flake off. But on most 
Panteras, getting the mufflers hot is no problem. If you drive above 120mph for a 
short time, guaranteed the paint will cure! I just replaced some cheap muffler 
supports on a car that had 3/4" thick rubber isolaters that were both
