  You may be right. DeTomaso was building these cars to a price-point and is known for 
  taking the less expensive route whenever possible. DuPont Teflon would likely have come at 
  a premium. And even though DeTomaso didn't build the racks, higher grade parts surely 
  would have affected their final price to DeTomaso. So, I imagine the bushing was nylon, not Teflon.
