Mike Drew,

As far as later push buttons, the ProvaMo Registry has (photos of) a number
of cars leading up to 1383 (all being push buttons) and 1387 (and later)
being a square-door handle car.

Naturally cars sat around, and inventory was mixed.

Somewhere I have photos of the "back yard" of DeTomaso. As cars came in
from Vignale they were lined up. It was definitely LIFO (Last In First Out)
for each of the rows. So a car at the back could be there a while before
being pushed to the line and finished.

Anyway... Just from the photos ...1342,
1343,1350,1351,1355,1357,1362,1363,1364,1365,1371,1373,1378,1382,1383 are
all push buttons...
and 1387 and on are "squares". I would have thought there would be a few
"transition" squares among the pushbuttons near the end.

For amusement, 1024 has squares.... But it's history documents the change to
the later style. I have, but don't remember the number of a much later VIN
that has push button doors.

So based upon photos from the Registry I put the transition between 1383 and
1387.

Someone on the PI board has the handle as "The Last Pushbutton". I think
his car is #1362, but the registry has, what 8, or so cars higher than that,
with photos showing them as push buttons.

As the Registry grows more will be learned. Just one "factoid" benefit from
the effort.

Does anyone have photos of a car in this range (1384-1386) to better narrow
it down???
