I've only removed about 50 of them over the years. :>)

They are actually a stamped sheetmetal cup, with a teflon insert and a 
sheetmetal retaining ring.

Well, "Teflon" is a trademarked name.   I don't know for sure that the 
factory bushings are actually "Teflon"; they are some sort of slippery plastic 
though.   By the same token, the plastic ones that are being sold by one vendor 
might not technically be "Teflon" either.
