[DeTomaso] Pushbuttons hand built?

I have three cars.
One is a pushbutton.
All pantera's were sort of hand built if you have seen the so called assembly line.
The pushbuttons really are different and were a lot more hand built.
The rear tub area of a latter car was stamped to create the curved metal tub.
The pushbuttons had curved steel panels with welded seams to make the tub. The steel was placed and hand welded.
The doors with the quarter moon cut in were all hand made in the rear quarter panel.
The pushbuttons have different doors, different head lamps, different window frames, different gas tanks, trunk lid, different suspension geometry, different fenders, different seats, different wheels, different transaxle, different bellhousing, diferent clutch disk. etc
Many of the changes to the latter cars were made to reduce hand built labor or to save manufacturing costs. I think that is where the hand built definition comes from.

Later pushbuttons I've seen lack the little quirks that Björn's car has and are more like my car. What I note in the Euro parts book is that quite a few parts differ within the first 1000 cars or so as p/ns are indicated for for cars up to # and from # and these numbers are in the first hundreds of cars made.
