I'm guessing either the fuel line sock in the gas tank is plugged or the fuel
pump is getting weak. Any thoughts on the problem?

If its the sock and you have a pre-'73 Pantera wil the early fuel tank, two
solutions: (note these work best if the tank is NOT full of gas!) Remove fuel
cap & stuff a rag in the opening, then remove the banjo fitting on top of tank,
and CAREFULLY blow into the tank opening with an air compressor. Moderate air
pressure will rupture the plugged sock. Too much pressure will blow lots of
fuel out the filler neck OR swell the tank into a leaky and expensive metal
balloon.
Second way: remove left rear window and fuel gauge sender out the hole where
the window was. Carefully peer in with flashlight to see if the sock is
actually present. If so, reaching in with a long pole, you can tear the sock with
some fiddling. If you use a steel rod to tear the thing, don't try so hard that
you make a spark against the tank opening! Fish out as much debris as possible
or it may cause further problems.

If the pump is 'getting tired', a 0-10 psi gauge temporarily hooked to the
carb inlet with a tee fitting will show 6-8 psi for a good pump at 3000 or more
rpms. Virtually any pump will show good pressure at idle; you need to see
whats happening at road speed rpms. Good luck- J DeRyke
