OK, here is something that youse guys will like.... From a former work mate, that used to work for Kelsey-Hayes teaching "brakes" to mechanics.

Some tips!
1) When pushing pistons back into a caliper, do not force the old garpy fluid and crap back up into the master cylinder. Simply connect a hose to the bleeder, open the bleeder, and push the fluid into a container. Simple enuf except the mess when you tip your container over.....

2) When bleeding the brakes, put a piece of 2x4 under the brake pedal so you do not push the pedal all the way to the floor. This keeps the seals from traveling over portions of the cylinder that do not normally get used (except in the event of a system failure) and can have a garp layer built up. You force the seals over this layer of crap, and you can shorten the life of the seals....requiring a M/C replacement....

Now, if you are the type that flushes your system every year, you can probably keep doing things the "uninformed" way, but for cars that are using DOT3 moisture absorbing fluid.....you may want to keep these tips in mind!

Ciao!
Steve
