[DeTomaso] Techno question: ZF pops out of second gear

Dear Forum,


               The problem is that the ZF pops out of second gear.  It otherwise seems to shift fine in all the other gears, but pops out of second gear with power application.   

                 I am a dope about this.   Does this indicate a specific adjustment problem?    Does this indicate a specific internal ZF problem?   Does this mean that the credit card will start to heat up with use to buy ZF parts and labor???
