[DeTomaso] Earliest Outside Gas Filler ?

What I think, is that just about anything is possible, as long as a person has enough time and/or money!
 
Someday when I have accumulated enough wealth so that when I spend tens of thousands of dollars my wife won't notice, I plan on doing or having done everything I've ever though of doing to my Pantera.
 
If I never get to that point, I guess I'll have to be satisfied reading in the various car magazines about those who can afford such things.
 
By the way, on a related subject--a friend of mine, Art Morrison, has a custom frame shop in town and not too long ago he took me over to his house to show me his incredible $300K+ 1960 Corvette.  Soon after, Popular Hot Rodding began doing a three-part series on that very car.  They call it the "3G" Vette because it's aim is to be able to pull 1 G in acceleration, 1 G in turning and 1 G in braking.
 
I have yet to give Art a ride in my Pantera, however.  Maybe after I do, with any luck, he'll volunteer to use my car as his next guinea pig!
