[DeTomaso] Brake Upgrades & Pads for Stock Brakes

On the bleeding, I'd recommend going to a Les Schwab / Pep Boys, etc. and
have them do a pressure bleed on the brakes. Makes a HUGE difference.
On the vented rotors, you can go to our website at www.panterasnorthwest.com
and find the article I wrote on the SSBC vented/slotted rotor upgrade to the
front brakes. A very easy and inexpensive upgrade.

My non-professional opinion is:

1. Remove or gut the prop valve.
2. Make sure they're bled properly.
3. Porterfield r4s pads, front & rear - with the e-brake groove in back.
4. stainless brake lines.

That should give you plenty of street stopping power. With those mods, I
can stop as fast as my wife's Boxster-S - which has the 911-turbo brakes.

next up is:

1. vented disks in front. I don't have them yet, so my brakes smoke after
30-45 minutes of spirited driving.

next up is:

1. call a vendor and pay lots of bucks for mondo brakes.

brakes seem to be marginal compared to modern braking systems.
