[DeTomaso] Larry Stock on the mend

Hi guys,

I just got off the phone with Larry Stock, who is lying in a hospital bed 
with all sorts of tubes going into him.

A few weeks ago, he found he was having trouble keeping up with his kids on a 
hiking trip, so he went to the doctor.   There he discovered that he had a 
100% blockage of the main artery going to the heart (!), but luckily (and 
freakily), his body grew a natural bypass which went around the blockage, and 
enabled him to continue to live.   However, this bypass was substantially smaller 
than the blocked artery, so he still had problems.

They gave him a double bypass operation on Friday, and he came through it 
just fine (other than a bout of post-operation hiccups which caused them to keep 
him a day or two longer than originally planned, as there was concern it might 
have interfered with the healing process).

The funny thing is, he never stopped working.   He had the 1-800-DETOMASO 
phone forwarded to his cell phone, and has been answering customer calls and 
selling Pantera parts from his hospital bed, which drives the hospital staff nuts 
as you can imagine!
