Jim,
 
The OEM Pantera routing is that the passenger side pipe (water from  the 
engine to the radiator) goes to the bottom fitting on the radiator and  the driver 
side pipe (water to the engine from the radiator) goes to the  top fitting on 
the radiator.
 
Does it make a difference? I doubt it matters much from a cooling  
standpoint. From a mechanical installation standpoint, reversing  the OEM routing means  
the cooling pipes or hoses would have  to cross over each other on their way 
to the radiator. This would take up  space in a crowed area.
