Dear Art,

I think your original approach falls under the cheap and easy category.
Considering the effort and money you've got in the engine at this point, I
think that you'd be better off with a more rational approach to cam
selection.

I think you have already made your fundamental decisions on the engine
components: CID, heads & their flow numbers, intake manifold, carburation
and transmission gearing (ZF). If you want the maximum effective result from
those components for *your* desired use {stump pulling, smoky burnouts, high
MPG, broad torque curve or maximum horsepower, etc}, then I would strongly
recommend you talk to more than one camshaft manufacturer tech line and
perhaps Dan Jones and David Vizard's cam website before you make the final
decision.
