Yup. Slam-shifting or clutchless gear changes, not backing off when the car 
leaves the ground so impact-loads occur, will all damage any tranny, even 
automatics with their built-in slippage. FWIW, Jr reportedly only broke one input 
shaft when he 'got air' at around 220mph and didn't back off. This was with the 
big 574" engine, presumably at close to max torque. For those still worried, 
the ZF 25-DS-M-1 trannys AKA the 'Super-ZF' supposedly has stronger reinforced 
cases, larger shafts and bearings and a slightly different ratio in two of 
the lower gears, with the same ring & pinion ratios available. Good luck- J
