 I had the opportunity to spend a little time in a C5 Z06 with twin turbos mounted in the rear.  I refused to believe that
turbo lag would not be a problem...until I got in.  Nothing really noticeable.  The car is auto crossed regularly
where you would think instant throttle response is a must and it does well.  I guess if you match turbos and tubing correctly...
A Pantera may be a good candidate for something like this with all the room in the rear and wheel wells.  Twin turbos glowing in 
front of the rear screen or in the muffler opening would be interesting.  You wouldn't need to add the disco mirror ball to your delta wing!
