[DeTomaso] Best valve spring compressor

 I've used that type (in fact the same Summit product) too in the car. We are not talking five minutes a head with this tool. They have a couple of issues IMO. First they use the "wrong" kind of thread compared to our heads. I had a dual thread piece made that takes care of that. I later found that you could possibly disassemble the tool, swap parts around and avoid that. The angle of the fingers wasn't even close to the angle of the valve spring retainers. I own several hammers. :-) It's sometimes tricky to make the lever point in a useful direction (read: towards the back of the car) and you really want to tighten down the tool on the rocker mount to avoid flexing. It's a bit tricky to use the tool under the roof of the Pantera. I made a screw in handle that makes it easier for me to get the leverage needed to compress the spring. Again, I can take pics.
