[DeTomaso] Rear Brake lines

Going to braided stainless is your best idea. Most of the Pantera vendors
carry sets of braided lines already made up and ready to ship - probably
cheaper than your custom shop, and they will have the correct 45 degree
flare that your system needs. Most newer brake fittings, and likely those
your shop has, are 37.5 degrees.
Good Luck

Subject: [DeTomaso] Rear Brake lines

I had a "mushy" brake pedal and noticed brake fluid on my wheels (both
rear). 1973 Pantera L

There is moisture (brake fluid) where the flex line meets the rear caliper.

What is the "normal" failure mode (fitting, gasket, O-ring, etc...) at this
joint and what is the fix?

I have a great local hot rod shop that does stainless steel custom...what
measurements/standard would they need to get the right length and compatible
fitting?

Do I REALLY need a special wrench to do this?
Thanks,
Tom

  Subject: Headliner replacement

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen (and Mad Dog),
A few years ago I replaced my headliner with a "foam backed felt/fabric"
specifically made for headliner material and glued it up with 3M 777. The
foam backing has started to fail and I'm looking for the next generation
material.

I do like the sound deadening and protection that a little foam offers to
the paperthin metal making up the ceiling/roof.

  Any suggestions?
