[DeTomaso] Headlights Not Going Up and Down

What you did not mention was whether you have power at the motor or power
coming out of the relay. What's the voltmeter showing?
Also, a number of circuits in the Pantera go through various little white
connectors. Over time the connections can go bad and fry especially with
the high current draw components. I am not near my car now, so I cannot
look at it, but I'll that bet the wire from the relay to the motor goes
through at least one connector.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Headlights Not Going Up and Down
My headlights refuse to go up and down. Here's what I know:
1 - I can hear the relay click when I turn the headlights on. (The lights
turn on - even though they don't come up). So I'm getting power transfer to
the relay.
2 - My headlight motor was dead. Even when powered straight from the
battery. It has been replaced and rotates when directly connected to the
battery.
3 - The motor does not turn when the headlights are turned on. I have
lowered the bracket holding the motor so that the gear is not engaged.
Still no turning.
4- The stop switches have both been replaced. I have tried all possible
combinations of the stop switches being depressed and undepressed. Still no
turning.
5- When everything is detached from the rotating bar, I can manually lift
the headlights...and, of course, they freely drop back down again.
At this point I am thinking it's gotta be the relay.
Any thoughts? Is it simply a case of replacing the relay?
Thank you in advance....
