As I read more views about the Mad Dawg mystery emailer I cannot help but consider one other potential perp , maybe with a possible motive.
Is there an ex-wife in your life Dawg? An old girlfriend? Jilted lover?
This whole thing points to the work of a woman if you ask me. I didn't recall the exact wording of the original message as I quickly exorcised it outta my hard drive in disbelief. However I did reread it in the archives and have now come to that conclusion. You can also bet the this nappy you know what is reading this along with you realizing this was a prank gone bad. All because of those 3 glasses of champagne, 2 wine coolers and a pina collada at her candle party earlier that evening.
She's probably dabbing away the tears as at this very moment sorry for the grief she has caused.
Let's all give a collective sigh and hope she can find the courage to admit her mistake.

However...
What if it had been true? This strange episode got me unwantingly thinking about the subject no one likes to think about. The Dawg got a rare glimpse of what would have occured in the short wake of news of his possible passing. Kind of Twilight Zone like.
And also I'm sure the "He died doing what he loved" label would have been said. I have a problem with that little catch all statement, used whenever an adventerous person expires engaging in a risky hobby. Sure it might apply , but it's selectively used to justify a death in the eyes of the living to make it appear not so bad. Some comfort but what really qualifies as a cause of death to quantify it's use?
You never hear it used when the cheating husbands ticker kicks it while engaging in lewd acts in a Vegas hotel room, something which he happened to love doing!
What about the gang member who loved "hangin' with my homies" getting riddled with lead in a drive by.
The old lady knitting.....
There are many more examples I could list but I think you get my point, whatever it is.

I say to the Dawg and others who have the need for speed , if the worst does happen at least they won't have to lie at your funeral!

Love ya bro'
Matt
