[DeTomaso] spot welder

I am in the market for a spot welder.  In my research so far, I notice
that most of them have the option in input voltage of either 110v or
220v.  It seems that the outputs are pretty much the same.  Not being
well schooled on spot welders, is there any advantage one way of the
other regarding the input voltage?
