[DeTomaso] a/c condenser fan motor

My a/c condenser fan motor has taken to periodically, and with 
increasing frequency, emitting ear-piercing shrieks of agony. Has 
anyone else had this problem and, if so, are there any simple fixes? 
Can the bearings be serviced/replaced or am I looking at a whole new 
motor assembly? If I am looking at a whole new assembly, can it be 
cross-referenced or do I have to use a DeTomaso part?
