[DeTomaso] GT5 Air Dam - scraping damage and rock ships

A 4" x 11" rear view mirror?

That sounds substantially bigger than the stock Pantera mirror,
against which I already regularly bash my otherwise under-utilized noggin.

I also wonder how well a camera would survive exposed under the car,
pointing forward.

That said, we may be on to something here.

I had to go to Circuit City last night and took a stroll over to car stereos
and lo and behold, found a TV Camera system made by Audiovox that attaches
to the mirror as a mirror replacement ( think like a Wink mirror ) and has
not one, but two inputs with a selector switch to show either one of two
mounted cameras.
one camera and the mirror/monitor was 299.00, the extra camera is 99 and
installation is 99 for one, maybe 175 for two cameras.
The mirror unit is 4" x 11", the cameras are roughly 1.5" x 1.5".
