[DeTomaso] Panteras for sale

I have followed the collector car market most of my life and have made
some fortuitous purchases. The cycles are timed by experienced buyers on
the upswing until inexperienced buyers get in at the top with hopes of
future profits. They cause a final price surge but because these late
comers have a limited knowledge of the subtle differences that make a
truly valuable car they get burned. They then realize their mistake and
must sell at a loss because all the savvy buyers know prices are too
inflated. The late buyers lack the knowledge to be able to detect a
fraud. There are more big block Corvettes now than when GM was making them.

Since my teenage years I have purchased cars based on their potential
for price appreciation. I learned early to purchase the rarest and most
complete cars as they will appreciate the most. I feel the top of
another cycle is not far off as prices have become unpredictable and
chaotic in their upward spiral.
