[DeTomaso] NPC Anyone Got a Mini Cooper?

Jaime and I had a new Mini cooper with the Sport Suspension package. The thing understeered pretty bad, but didn't have any body lean at all. We went to the dealership and bought a stock front swaybar (smaller diameter) to give the front more grip. Made a WORLD of difference at the autocross. The thing stuck like glue. Felt like an entirely different car.

That said, we only had it for about six months before we decided to sell it. Just wasn't *fun* to drive on a daily basis. Plus it was developing new squeeks and rattles regularly. Had some trim fall off once, and the BMW dealerships were really snobbish to deal with.

 I'd look elsewhere.

Art, if I were looking for a gas saving bad ride, I'd look at Ford Focus
ZX3, there is a ton of stuff available for those cars, I think several have
been rally champions as well. At least in still a relative.
