[DeTomaso] Adventures in the garage - Flourescent work lights

If you're tired of burning your arm (or whatever else the back of the drop
light might touch) and paying $4 +/- for "rough service" bulbs that aren't,
try those compact flourescent screw base style bulbs. Nice and bright, stays
cool enough to hold onto the bulb barehanded, pretty tough too. Dropped mine
several times. I also use a lamp holder made of plastic to avoid scatches on
finished surfaces. I lined it with aluminum tape to act as a reflector and
keep light from leaking through the backside.
