Will, you have three issues going on that must be dealt with so vibs will stop. Plug and wire, recently tightened mounts and trans-flywheel work. First off hold the engine at its worst vib period and feel the engine metal and its mount metal area. What do you feel? Are the vibs happening quicker than a misfire and does the sub frame have similar frequencies? The engine mounts should absorb vibs. Now jack up the oil pan or trans bell housing 1/2 inch or so relative to the sub frame and see if your removal of load has put the vibs to rest. Then loosen the mount bolts and repeat. You may have mounts in a bind or too tight. Also the fact you had to tighten mount bolts may tell you this problem is not new and the bolts loosened and your vibs were hidden. Also while at this same rpm-vib, look at the engine-trans and note what part vibrating the most. So you can point to the point of vib origin. Then if needed insert a 4 foot long prybar at diff points of powerplant and subframe and pry about so to see if you can subdue the vibs. Your purpose is too know what causes these vibs if not normal and why they are not contained. Good luck, Jeff Cobb, Mangusta 1196.
