pods which are welded to the underside of the fenders, whereas the '71 uses
these same turn signals mounted in the front bumperettes. The shape of the
'gills' on the side of the car behind the side glass is different too; the '74
gills won't fit the '71 body. If your '71 is an earlier car, the stainless
steel window trim and windshield trim are different also. And finally, the '71
would have a decklid without a reinforcement rib.
There are also some minor differences with the front spindles, brake rotors,
etc. and so forth, but they are fairly trivial, and parts (or assemblies) will
interchange easily.
Other than that, they are basically the same.
