I tried running without the turkey pan with a Performer manifold. I used regular intake gaskets with the crossover blocked off. It ran like heck when it was cold and took at least 5 min before it would run ok and I have an operating choke. So I took it all apart and installed the turkey pan and it ran fine after that. Mike
