>>>Nope, not even close. Remember, the L&N chassis was set up to utilize a
complete Pantera suspension/drivetrain setup with ZF etc.

There were two set ups available, one with stock Pantera suspension and
drivetrain, the other with a Cheby Citation V6 transverse mounted (ouch).

At least the L&Ns were not Fieros with body panels like some of the Lambo
and F-car kits. I saw a "308" Fiero recently were the builder had put $30K
into it. For that, he could have gotten a real 308.

>> This car (that is, the dragster that's for sale, not the street car) is
front-engined, with a straight rear axle (Ford 9-inch I would guess). The
ad says the chassis was fabbed up from scratch by Magnum Force of Campbell,
Ca.

I bought some Wilwood bits from Magnum Force a couple of years ago. They
were good guys, but they are MOPAR guys who did not seem to know much about
the non-MOPAR world. They are also drag guys, so it would make sense that
they fabbed that "Pantera".

The tube frame Panteras are not real Panteras any more than the NASCAR cars
are stock cars, but it is a nice tip of the hat for someone to build a car
in the shape of a Pantera.
