I did it with a flat file.  File one end only.  Close it every so often to
make sure it mates to the other side.

Do it Aggie style.  Hold the file and push the ring back and forth.

I used a high quality flat file that has never been used for anything else.

Greetings all!

My new engine kit came with "file to fit" rings.  Does anyone have a ring
grinder that I can borrow to resize my rings?    Normally I just use regular
"throw 'em on" rings and check that they are not binding....but this kit
came this way for some reason.

Hopefully I can find someone in the South Bay area rather than buy one for
one job.
