Joel:

One of my favorite suppliers is McMaster-Carr. These guys are nation wide, 
and have an outstanding selection of most everything. One of their 
characteristics that I especially appreciate is that their fasteners are all 
manufactured to standards. There aren't any "no name" bolts in their bins.

They also have an excellent selection, at least as far as I've ever needed. 
Unfortunately in terms of metric sheet metal screws, they only have 
stainless, in these sizes:

In case something screws up on this chart, they have two styles, flat head 
(countersunk) and panhead. And in the following sizes, 2.2 thru 4.2MM 
diameter, in lengths ranging from 6.5 to 25MM.

The web site is:  http://www.mcmaster.com/  then scroll down to the 
"Fastening and Sealing" listing (right column, almost to the bottom), and 
click on the Sheet Metal Screws category. This will take you to the main 
heading, and you can drill down from there.


There's another company, http://www.boltdepot.com/ , which may have a larger 
selection... or not... just depends on what you need. Then for the real 
small stuff, like camera repair, there's 
http://www.microfasteners.com/index.cfm    or even 
http://store.nutsandbolts.com/meallpr.html    And then I'd go to Aircraft 
Spruce and Supply,  http://www.aircraftspruce.com/index.php   and see what 
they have.

Personally, my favorite suppliers are McMaster-Carr, then Aircraft Spruce 
and Supply. The other's are okay, I just haven't done that much with them.

Theoretically you should be able to find what you need somewhere in this 
"mess", but if you don't, and you have a specific size, type, metal, and so 
forth, get back to me, and I'll check with some of my more outre suppliers.
