Mr. T - confirm that my Euro gts has the flash function - oddly, it works but steady high doesn't (unless I jiggle the stalk, or turn the directional on either direction while the stalk is in high, then they come on!) - fwiw - stephen

Some turn signal switches (European cars?) I have seen include  an additional 
set of switch contacts which will turn the highbeams on when you  pull the 
switch further aft from the normal lowbeam (aft)  stalk position.  These 
switches also have a slightly different piece  added to the main switch module to 
actuate the highbeam flash  contacts.

I have sent Jim some info on testing the highbeam  flash function and a 
picture of the switch contact plate with the highbeam  flash contacts.

I was given a box full of busted turn signal switches to use as  spare parts. 
About 4 out of 25 switches in that box had the highbeam flash  function.
