  Dave Bell in Texas reports that the gutted mufflers produce a nice, throaty sound, and are 
  only somewhat louder than stock at idle and around town. But that it really gets nasty at 
  WOT and high rpm. John Taphorn also did the same modification after Dave did his.
   
  John - Can you add any comments about the sound levels?  Also, can you send me a 
  sound clip to add to my website?
