My uncle test drove a 427 Cobra in 1966 that was for sale for $6k. On the freeway, he rolled into the throttle and the tires broke loose so he decided not to buy it because it was too powerful, He bought a 300SL roadster instead (convertible counterpart to the Gullwing). My vote would have been for the Cobra!
