[DeTomaso] tire opinion

It's a good thing I added the IMO then! :-) Seriously, if you look at how a 225/50 tire sits on an 8" rim and then look at a 295 on the same width rim you have to agree that the latter doesn't look anywhere close to reasonable form an aesthetic or functional point of view. I'm not arguing that the tire won't fall off etc.

  FWIW, Toyo lists an 8" wide wheel within their recommended rim width range for the Proxes S/T in a 295/50/15. 8" is the lower limit and 10" is the upper limit.

  BFG also includes an 8" wheel in the acceptable "rim width range" for their 295/50/15 Radial T/A.
