The plugs are soft aluminum and are probably seized in the heads, so trying 
to remove them will only destroy their square drive holes. If there is 
significant leakage under pressure from one or both, you'll either have to have them 
machined out, the heads re-threaded and new plugs added (this time with teflon 
tape or pipe sealer on the threads), or have a good welder TIG the edges of 
the plugs as they are now, and dress off the welds. You'll likely never need 
access to the holes. These plugs are not always stocked items by SVO/Ford 
dealers, so it would be a good move to have replacements in your hands before doing 
anything serious with the heads. If the leakage is insignificant, run some Bars 
Stop-leak thru the cooling system and call it 'done'. This also goes for the 
plugs up in the valve area. Good luck- J DeRyke
