One more thing...
Last month I received a letter from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District asking me
to consider an alternative to driving my 1972 vehicle (the Banzai Runner) since the registration
was expiring soon. They generously offered me $650. Wow! Your tax dollars at work.
Now, I'm all for supporting the environment. I tread as lightly on the planet as possible, reuse
and recycle, and have considered alternative power sources for my home. So, I'd like to go
one step better than the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. I will offer you a
whopping $1,000 for each of your currently registered and running pre-1985 DeTomaso
vehicles, because "these older vehicles have less efficient emission control equipment and
therefore produce much more air pollution than newer vehicles." So what do you say? Let
me take that gross-polluting Mangusta, Vallelunga, Pantera, or Longchamp off your hands
and provide you the seed money to buy a new energy efficient vehicle. Tell you what; the
vehicle doesn't even need to be running or assembled at the present time, just complete
with engine, transaxle and the majority of the required parts to complete. Reply directly to
me to take advantage of this generous limited time offer!
Cheers!
Garth
