I can only tell you from hard experience that this is NOT something you want 
to guess on.   A friend was faced with a similar problem.   I am next to 
useless with electrical matters and urged him to methodically test everything out, 
but he insisted on just plugging the wires in where they looked nice and 
trying them out--after all what harm could come of that?

Over my strident objections he did just that, and instantally fried the 
thing; he wound up having to buy a whole new bottle.

Proceed with caution!

Mike (doesn't like to see a plastic wiper motor housing glowing internally!)
