Change out the cooling tube to stainless.  Mine were rusted and who knows if they were leaking, today tomorrow or 6 months from now. I wanted to eliminate any problems. In the process I went to change out the heater tubes that stub out of the back of the firewall and those were totally rusted out...so unless you take all your pipes apart who knows what the condition of a 35 year old pipe is. For $300 from Bob Byars or from one of the other vendors you get a pretty nice set of pipes which includes a polished thermostat housing pipe and all the rest. Since cooling is the biggest problem I figure it's one thing to eliminate.
